Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Long Term Care position requiring 1 year of experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Skilled nursing/long-term care setting
• Patients present with multiple comorbidities and acute medical care needs
• Patient ratio of 1:20
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours, 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM
• Every other weekend required along with scheduled holidays
• Floating required between two floors/wings per floor
• PointClickCare charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Experience with foley catheters, insulin administration, and IV therapy/medication required
• Experience with neurological status assessment, dressing changes, and skin/wound assessment required
• Experience with wound vac, JP drains, and colostomy care required
• End of life/palliative care experience required
• Experience with CPAP/BiPAP machines and Hoyer lifts required
• Diabetes monitoring experience required
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide skilled nursing care to long-term care residents with complex medical needs
• Must reside more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates within 70 miles are not accepted
• Solid color scrubs required
• Candidates must be clean-shaven to pass mandatory respirator fit testing; no medical or religious exemptions are accepted
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
