Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role requiring 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT certification.

Details

• Work in Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab settings
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be open to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Weekend requirements may exceed every other weekend based on unit needs
• May be required to float between sister facilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
• BLS and ARRT (R) certification required
• ACLS and ARRT or CCI RCIS certification required
• California Radiologic Technologist license required, if applicable
• Valid compact state license must be in hand at time of submission
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in procedures including angioplasty, embolization, chemoembolization, aortography, angiography, stent placements, biopsies, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Experience with genitourinary procedures including nephrostomy, cystoscopy, gastrostomy, and ureteral stent placement
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Skilled in equipment setup, room circulating, and maintaining sterile fields while scrubbing
• Age-specific competency required for young adult, middle adult, and older adult populations
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of interventional radiology and cardiac procedures including angiography, embolization, stent placements, and biopsies
• Responsibilities include equipment setup, room circulating, and maintaining sterile fields as scrub technologist
• First-time travelers are not required for this position
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• Only one submission allowed per Providence facility at a time system wide
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a lower bill rate
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
