Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring CRRT/IABP experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• 20-bed medical ICU setting with 2:1 patient ratios
• Cares for patients with cardiac arrest, sepsis, mechanical ventilation, stroke, and those undergoing surgery, continuous dialysis, and invasive bedside procedures
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, 3x12 hours per week
• Weekend and holiday rotation required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• CRRT and IABP experience required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with interdisciplinary care team

• Implements professional nursing practice centered on patient-focused, evidence-based care
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments, develops individualized care plans, and coordinates discharge planning
• Delegates and oversees tasks performed by other care team members
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities, including patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility to qualify for travel rate; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
