Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist with 1+ years of experience and current ARRT (R) and CT certification for a hospital imaging department.
Details
- Imaging Administration department
- 10hr Day shifts with variable scheduling, including weekends
- 40 hours per week across 4 days
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiologic Technology
- ARRT (R) certification required
- CT certification required
- BLS certification (AHA) required, must not expire prior to start
- License required if applicable
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant computer applications
- Strong communication, organizational, and attention to detail skills
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures including patient positioning, immobilization, and imaging per physician orders
- Operate and maintain X-ray imaging and related equipment
- Evaluate image quality and submit images to Radiologist for interpretation
- Prepare and administer contrast per Radiologist protocol
- Follow ALARA radiation safety measures to protect patients and staff
- Practice sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention policies
- Supervise and evaluate student radiographers in the clinical setting
- A personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) is required for this assignment
- Candidates are encouraged to use an existing dosimeter badge from a previous employer if available
- Permanent staff must be separated from any facility within this health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
