Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift travel assignment requiring fetal monitoring certification and at least 1 year of specialty experience.
Details
- Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week assignment length
- Full-time work schedule
Requirements
- Active RN license in TX or compact
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- Current NRP certification
- Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
- Current certification in AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
- 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred
- BSN preferred
- Perinatal RN Residency or recent perinatal setting experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocol while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and families
- New hires are precepted by a designated staff member and must complete organizational and perinatal-specific competency validations
- Must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
- Annual competency verification requirements must be completed
- Candidates must reside within 50 miles for local rate consideration
- Previous CHRISTUS employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment
