Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a PM shift assignment requiring 1 year of experience and an active NJ or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Renal/Gastro unit within a hospital setting
• PM shift, 7p-7a, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• Uses Epic for charting
• Floating required, including to a sister hospital nearby
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, clinical intervention, and documentation for patients across the lifespan
• Support pre- and post-operative patient care including education and assessment
• Evaluate Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and safe patient handling techniques
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold HIPAA confidentiality standards
• Local candidates accepted at a lower pay rate
• Travelers may extend assignments up to one calendar year from the initial start date before requiring a break
