Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an acute care hospital, requiring 1+ years of experience and ARRT or NMTCB certification.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with 212 staffed beds
- Nuclear Medicine department performing basic studies, with most volume from stress tests
- Daily caseload of 5-12 patients
- Procedures include bone scans, 3-phase studies, whole body scans, shunt studies, abdominal and ventricular studies, myocardial imaging, adenosine and persantine infusions, and pharmacological stress testing
- Adult patient population in a clinic setting
- Additional procedures include SPECT imaging, brain and liver scans, renal studies, thyroid studies, cancer surveys, lung scans, and sentinel node studies
- Uses Siemens equipment
- Epic EMR preferred
- 4x10 hour day shifts with variable start times of 6:00 AM or 7:30 AM
- Weekend call required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required
- Community hospital experience required
- BLS, ARRT or NMTCB certification required
- California state license required (license required if applicable)
- Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration
- Proficiency starting and maintaining IVs required
- Experience in ER, Adult ICU, and PACS preferred
- Sentinel node experience preferred
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Scrubs provided for L&D/OR staff; RNs wear navy blue scrubs
- Free parking available on-site
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Local radius rule of 50 miles applies
- Returning staff may be considered after a 3-month break, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities, including permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem roles, with location and dates
- Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the region
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration, with approval based on facility needs
