Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring active OR RN licensure and a minimum of 2 years PACU experience.
Details
- Work in the PACU unit providing recovery care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures from Cardiac Cath, Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology, and GI/Endoscopy
- Patient population includes those receiving moderate procedural sedation and General Anesthesia Recovery
- Provide cardiac monitoring capability for all recovering patients
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 0700-1930, variable days with no weekends or holidays required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals per unit needs
Requirements
- Active RN license required
- Active OR RN license required for consideration
- BLS and ACLS certifications required prior to first day, AHA-issued only (RQI not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
- 1 year of Adult Critical Care, Procedural, or ED experience within the last 5 years required
- BSN and CCRN certifications preferred
- Specialty certifications such as CAPA, CPAN, or CCRN preferred
- Prior travel healthcare experience required
- Previous Charge RN experience preferred
- Strong communication, time management, and independent problem-solving skills required
- Experience with arterial/venous femoral access, sheath removal, and anesthesia recovery (Phase I/II) preferred
- Experience with TEE, Cardioversion, and BMBx procedures preferred
Additional Information
- Serve as a role model supporting the facility's vision and mission while delivering patient-centered care
- Efficiently manage patient flow through the PACU system
- Accepts local candidates at the same pay rate with no radius restriction
- Refusal to float to assigned units or affiliate hospitals as requested may result in contract cancellation
- Former employees or travelers must have a 6+ month gap before returning to this facility
- RTO must be submitted upfront and should not exceed 2 weeks
- COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions accepted
- First-time travelers may be considered based on experience qualifications
