Description

American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a critical access hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications, with first-time travelers welcome.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a 23-bed critical access hospital
• Patient ratios of 1:5
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Rotating weekends required
• Floating between units required
• No on-call requirements
• Charting via Epic

Requirements

• Active WA or Compact RN license required in hand at submission
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (NRP preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year of ER experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Experience with pediatric and adult emergency patient populations
• Skills with cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, and dysrhythmia management
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and emergency medication administration
• Experience with triage and isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across general adult and pediatric populations
• Manage patients presenting with respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and orthopedic conditions
• May assist with procedural sedation, chest tubes, and ventilated patient care
• Scrub color is unrestricted for RN/Allied staff
• No parking fees at this facility
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Must reside more than 50 miles away to qualify for travel rate, or local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the region
