Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a Critical Access Hospital, requiring AK RN license, AWHONN Intermediate certification, and at least 1 year of L&D experience.
Details
- Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care medical center and critical access hospital
- Level IV Trauma facility with 46 acute care beds and 22 long-term care beds
- 3x12 hour Day and Night shift rotation (7:00-19:00 / 19:00-7:00)
- Weekend shifts required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities nearby
- Uses Epic charting system
- Scrub color is any or business casual
- Not open to block scheduling accommodations
Requirements
- Active AK RN license required (compact license must be in hand at submission)
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Full SSN and DOB required for compliance
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery unit
- Facility provides housing, typically 1-bedroom apartments for single occupancy, with pets not allowed
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests should be submitted upfront, as post-submission requests may not be considered
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
- Facility does not accept candidates with Nursys or background check hits
- Candidates may only be submitted to one Providence facility at a time
