Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery/LDRP position requiring 2 years of LDRP experience and FL or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Family Birth Suites unit with OB Maternal Level 2 and Nursery Level 1 designation, 24-bed unit
• Labor patient ratios of 1:1 to 2:1 and postpartum ratios of 3:1 to 4:1
• Uses Epic EMR
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Call required, equating to 12 hours per calendar month
• Floating required, with travelers prioritized for floating, including to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience required
• Nursing degree must be from an accredited program on file, or candidate must have 5 years of experience
• Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel assignment, and this radius rule is strictly enforced
• Candidates must not own or cosign on any property within the 50-mile radius
• Clinical interview required prior to offer
• All requested time off must be submitted prior to consideration and will not be approved after acceptance
• Orientation begins on a Friday with remote training, followed by an in-person visit to the facility for badge and ID
• Candidates must be prepared to secure full-time housing in the area for the duration of the assignment
• Required documentation includes COVID and flu vaccination records
• Culture emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and full integration with core staff
• Hard documentation deadline is the Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions
