Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a night shift travel position requiring 2+ years of experience and an active ME or compact RN license.

Details

• Work on a 56-bed Med Surg Telemetry unit
• General med surg telemetry patient population
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Call requirement of 2 12-hour call shifts during the 13-week contract
• Float required to other med surg units as needed within a 25-mile radius between facilities
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (ME or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience plus prior travel experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to general med surg telemetry patients
• Scrubs may be any color but must be clean and professional; hoodies, graphic shirts, and open shoes are not permitted
• Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage are prohibited on the unit
• Education modules completed through LMS, consistent for all travelers
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local and not eligible for renewals or extensions
• Returning candidates who worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must be noted at time of consideration
