Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a night shift travel position requiring 2 years of experience and an active ME or compact RN license.

Details

• Med Surg Telemetry unit on the 3rd floor of a 56-bed hospital
• General med surg telemetry patient population
• Patient ratios are 1:4-5 during days and 1:5-6 during nights
• Uses Epic EMR
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Weekend hours vary by schedule
• Floating to other med surg units as needed within a 25-mile radius between facilities
• On-call requirement of 2 twelve-hour call shifts during the 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (ME or compact) required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience required, plus prior travel experience
• Non-AHA certifications accepted at submission but AHA certification must be completed before start
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to general med surg telemetry patients as part of a collaborative care team
• Scrubs may be any color but must be clean and professional; hoodies, graphic shirts, and open shoes are not permitted
• Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage are prohibited while on the unit
• Education modules completed through the facility's LMS, consistent across all travelers
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at manager's discretion
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local and are not eligible for renewal or extension of the assignment
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this upon consideration
