Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a night shift contract requiring telemetry experience and a ME or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 45-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit treating medical-surgical and cardiac acute inpatient populations
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 during days and 1:5-6 during nights
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• One call shift required per 8-week block
• Float policy requires willingness to float within 25 miles between facilities as needed
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (ME or compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Telemetry experience required
• IMC experience preferred
• Cardiac, telemetry, and acute inpatient medical-surgical experience required
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a busy medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Willingness to work holidays required
• Scrubs of any color accepted; hoodies and earbuds not permitted on the unit
• Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage prohibited on the unit
• Candidates located within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local and not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during consideration
