Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring 2+ years of acute inpatient cardiac/telemetry experience.

Details

• Work in a 45-bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit
• Patient population includes medical surgical and cardiac acute inpatient cases
• Patient ratios are 1:4-5 during days and 1:5-6 during nights
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• One call shift required per 8-week block
• Float policy includes floating within a 25-mile radius between facilities as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maine or compact) required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred (non-AHA certifications accepted if AHA completed before start)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• IMC experience preferred
• Cardiac, telemetry, and acute inpatient medical-surgical experience required
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to medical-surgical and cardiac telemetry patients in an acute inpatient setting
• Must be willing to work assigned holidays
• Scrubs of any color accepted; hoodies and earbuds are not permitted on the unit
• Cell phone and earbud usage prohibited while on the unit
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at manager's discretion
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are welcome to apply
• Local travelers are not eligible for renewal or extension of this assignment
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this during consideration
