Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a day shift travel position at a Level IV Trauma Center, requiring 1-2+ years of experience and critical care/neonatal skills.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Respiratory Therapy department
• 39-bed facility treating all age groups including geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients
• Patient ratios vary
• Uses vents, Bipaps, Vapotherm, and Infant Nasal CPAP equipment
• Medhost EHR
• Day shift hours from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Schedule of 6 days on and 8 days off with 12-hour shifts
• Weekend hours included in weekly schedule on a rotating basis
• No call requirements
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• NBRC RRT credential required
• BLS, PALS, NRP, and ACLS certifications required
• 1-2+ years of experience required
• Critical care and neonatal experience required
• General RT skills required
• Must be able to work independently and learn quickly
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy care across all age groups including neonatal and critical care patients
• Common diagnoses treated include asthma, COPD, and premature infant respiratory conditions
• Facility is a Level IV Trauma Center, Stroke Receiving Facility, and Chest Pain Accredited with a 5-star CMS rating
• Navy blue scrubs required; street clothes not acceptable
• Must be outgoing and friendly to fit team culture
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Local candidates accepted if permanent address is greater than 60 miles from the facility
