Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg - Orthopedics RN for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center, requiring a TN or compact RN license and 1+ years of experience.

Details

• Med/Surg - Ortho unit providing post-operative joint, bariatric, GI, and trauma patient care
• 23-bed unit with a patient ratio of 4-6:1
• Patient population includes geriatric, adult, and peds (13 and older)
• Uses Meditech EHR
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend work required every third weekend
• Floating required as needed
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• ASN degree required
• Tennessee Abuse Registry check required prior to start date

Additional Information

• Provide care to post-operative joint, bariatric, GI, and trauma patients
• Strong assessment skills, teamwork, and customer service orientation preferred
• Works within a Level III Trauma Center environment
• Scrubs of any color accepted; t-shirts must display hospital logo and acrylic nails are not permitted
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to be eligible for travel assignment
• Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
