Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/IR Technologist with at least 1 year of recent specialty experience to support cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures.

Details

• 13-week travel assignment in the Cath Lab unit
• Monday through Friday schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• On-call required 12 days per month, including weekends and holidays
• Cath Lab procedures include left and right heart catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), and Impella device placement and support
• IR procedures include GI bleed embolizations, pulmonary embolism thrombectomies, kyphoplasties, drain placements, port placements, and other IR procedures as required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Cath Lab/IR specialty
• Active license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted, must not expire within first 30 days of assignment)
• Must be able to scrub, circulate, and monitor during procedures
• Experience preparing and maintaining sterile fields
• Proficiency operating imaging equipment and ancillary devices
• No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Assist physicians with device preparation, placement, and troubleshooting
• Respond to emergent cases while on call
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards
• Provide high-quality patient care before, during, and after procedures
• Work in a fast-paced cardiovascular and interventional radiology program
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
