Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment requiring ARRT MRI certification and BLS, with weekend and on-call availability.
Details
- Imaging MRI department in a hospital setting
- Shift schedule of 11:30 AM to midnight on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
- Full-time, 3 days per week at 12 hours per shift
- Weekend and on-call requirements apply
- Floating to other locations/campuses required
- Teal scrubs required
Requirements
- ARRT certification in MRI required (within 1 year of hire if not already held)
- BLS certification through American Heart Association required
- State licensure required if working in New Mexico (license required if applicable)
- MRT by MIRTP NMED certification required
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or approved equivalent required
- Basic computer experience required
- IV start skills preferred
Additional Information
- Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced MRI imaging procedures
- Provide support for other imaging technologists to facilitate smooth patient flow
- Perform basic MRI safety screening of patients and staff
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and report malfunctions to management or biomedical personnel
- Ensure completed exams are properly scanned and stored in PACS, acting as a PACS Superuser when needed
- Participate in ongoing education, QA processes, and safety initiatives
- Demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts or at other campuses as needed
- Returning employees who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must have a 6-month separation period before starting a new travel assignment
