Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Tele RN with at least 2 years of specialty experience and current BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• Work on a 21-bed general medical observation unit specializing in telemetry, COPD, pneumonia, infections, and UTIs
• Patient care requires comfort with Bi-Pap and high flow O2 therapy
• 12-hour day shifts, 3-4 shifts per week on a 36 or 48 hour contract
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope to similar units may be required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg-Tele specialty required
• Cerner EMR experience strongly preferred
• 2 professional references from similar experience (1-2 years) required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for medical observation and telemetry patients
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility with a verifiable permanent address; no exceptions
• Local candidates are not accepted
• RTO must be submitted along with candidate profile
