Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 12-week contract requiring at least 3 years of high-acuity ICU experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Work in a Level 2 trauma center ICU managing a mixed patient population including respiratory failure, MSOF, DKA, sepsis, general and vascular surgery, and alcohol/drug withdrawal and behavioral patients
• Day shift schedule, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Float to other ICU and inpatient units within the facility, with priority given to floating

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 3 years of high-acuity ICU experience required
• 5 years of ICU experience and past travel experience preferred
• New graduates not accepted
• Resume, 2 supervisor or charge references within 12 months, skills checklist, license verification, active certifications, and cover letter required for consideration

Additional Information

• First day of orientation is day shift, with the second day being floor orientation on the contracted shift
• Trauma background less critical than overall years of similar ICU experience given facility's Level 2 trauma status
