Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Oncology Chemotherapy Infusion unit position requiring OCN Chemo/Immunotherapy certification and a WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in an Oncology Chemotherapy Infusion unit within a hospital setting
• Shift schedule of 4x10s, 40 hours per week, 0730-1800
• No on-call responsibilities required
• May float in rotation, including serving as a sitter when needed

Requirements

• Active WA State or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• OCN Chemo/Immunotherapy certification required and must be maintained

Additional Information

• Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
• Evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs
• Accurately document assessments, care provided, interventions, and patient responses
• Perform holistic, ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately to changes in status
• Teach patients and families relevant health information in a timely manner
• Delegate appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
• Communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff per hospital and unit policies
