Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a CVICU position requiring 2 years of CVICU experience and NJ or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a hospital setting
• 1:2 patient ratio
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00
• 13-week assignment length
• Floating required among 5 hospitals within skillset (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL)
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Epic charting system used
• Block scheduling not permitted

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required, verified via Nursys dated within 2 weeks of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• BLS certification must not expire within 30 days of assignment start date
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience required, within the last 12 months
• Experience with IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory failure care
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and titrating cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Experience with post cardiac surgery care, IABP, and sheath removal
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing, with only 2 attempts allowed on a PC (iOS devices not compatible)
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to working on the unit
• Current COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required with no exemptions

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients, including those with complex cardiac and respiratory needs
• Experience with ECMO, LVAD/RVAD, TAVR, and valve repair/replacement is a plus
• Experience with CRRT, acute renal failure management, and IV insulin protocols is a plus
• Complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing
• Navy blue scrubs required
• RTO must be submitted at time of application; requests after submission will not be accepted
• No RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
• First-time travelers accepted but not preferred
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the hospital are subject to a reduced local rate
