Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU/PCU position requiring 3-4 years of critical care experience and a VT or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the ICU, primarily caring for step-down (PCU) patients
- Night shift schedule: 7p-7a, 3x12s, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Care for vented patients with respiratory therapy support
- Manage basic cardiac drips and insulin drips/protocols for DKA patients
- Respond to Rapid Response and Code Blue events
- Assist newer staff with interpreting telemetry rhythm strips
Requirements
- Active VT RN license or multistate compact license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- 3-4 years of critical care experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide advanced nursing care within a step-down ICU/PCU environment
- Support and mentor newer staff with cardiac monitoring interpretation
