Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2+ years of PCU experience and FL or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Ortho/General Surgical Progressive Care Unit in a 40-bed hospital unit
• Patient ratios of 4:1, which may flex up to 6:1 depending on staffing and acuity
• Uses Epic EMR
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 3 shifts per week
• Floating required, with travelers prioritized to float first, including to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• Degree accreditation verification required, or 5 years of nursing experience in lieu of accreditation
• Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
• Required documents for consideration: SS card, driver's license, and COVID/Flu documentation

Additional Information

• Travelers are expected to function as core staff and integrate fully into unit culture
• Orientation begins on a Friday, with remote components and an in-person requirement for badge/ID pickup
• All RTO must be submitted at the time of consideration, as it will not be approved after submission
• Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions for pending documentation
• Radius rule of 50 miles strictly enforced; candidates residing within this radius are not eligible for this position
• Candidates must secure full-time housing in the area and not commute from outside the region
