Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years of experience for an acute care hospital setting requiring ARRT, BLS, and CNMT certification.
Details
- Acute care hospital with 356 staffed beds
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Rotational call required: weekdays 5pm-6am and weekends 8am-7am
- Weekend coverage includes one tech staffed in the morning
- May be required to float to another Providence facility
- Performs nuclear medicine procedures including bone scans, thyroid studies, cardiac stress testing, renal studies, brain scans, lung scans, and liver/spleen imaging
- Uses GE equipment
- Epic EMR
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- ARRT and BLS certification required
- CNMT or NMTCB certification required
- CA state license must be in hand at time of submission; license required if applicable
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
- Experience in storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
- PET scan experience preferred
Additional Information
- Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine imaging procedures including bone, brain, liver, renal, thyroid, and cardiac studies
- Scrubs of any color accepted
- Free parking provided
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted
- Candidates living under 50 miles from the facility are considered local
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
- RTO requests should be minimal and noted at time of submission to avoid delays
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required

Providence LCM is a small community hospital with a great team and team work. I enjoyed working every single day with my pod buddies, ER physicians and charge nurse. Everyone is so helpful, you will find a resource nurse and break nurse who is constantly helping out nurses with critical patients. They always keep in consideration about the patient nurse ratio.
Cons
You will do self scheduling but it’s not guaranteed that you will get all the days, manager tries her best to keep in consideration of your days that you need.
