Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring CA license and at least 1 year of L&D experience.
Details
- Labor and Delivery unit with 7 rooms/14 beds and an average daily census of 10
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Float required to Med-Surg and Ortho units as needed
- Call required depending on patient census
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required at time of consideration (pending licenses not accepted)
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Skills in labor and delivery management, fetal monitoring, neonatal care, and postpartum care required
- Experience with medication administration including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
- Perform fetal monitoring, assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and provide neonatal resuscitation support
- Scrub color required: royal blue
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO limited to no more than 7 days
- First-time travelers considered, though a seasoned traveler is preferred
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Former Providence employees may return after a 3-month waiting period, provided they live more than 50 miles from the facility
- Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
