Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Neuro Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2 years of neuro nursing experience and FL/compact RN licensure.
Details
- Neuro PCU in a 52-bed unit with patient ratios of 4:1, expected to handle up to 1:5
- 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Floating required to both stepdown and PCU sides of the Neuro floor, with possible floating to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility
- Travelers are expected to float first
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required, with required neuro nursing experience
- Experience with Cardene and Cleviprex required
- Ability to read EKG rhythms required
- Accredited nursing degree must be documented, or 5 years of experience required in lieu of accreditation documentation
- Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing
Additional Information
- Galaxy Blue or White scrubs required
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility, with strict enforcement of this radius rule including property ownership checks
- Orientation begins on a Friday, with remote orientation components and an in-person requirement for badge/ID pickup
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to consideration, as RTO will not be approved after submission
- Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and a team-player attitude, as unit culture strongly values this
- Travelers are integrated into the unit and expected to function as core staff
