Description
American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring a WA or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Details
- Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting
- Day shift schedule
- 13-week assignment length
- Up to 24 hours of facility call-off available at no cost during the assignment
- May cancel up to two shifts per month or up to six shifts within the 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active WA state or compact RN license required
- BLS (Healthcare Provider level, AHA or equivalent) required within 30 days of hire
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire, renewed every 2 years
- PALS or PEARS certification required within 6 months of hire, renewed every 2 years
- CPAN certification preferred
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school required
- Acute care RN experience preferred
- Minimum one year of RN experience preferred for specialty nursing departments
Additional Information
- Functions as both direct caregiver and care manager, overseeing other nursing and non-nursing staff
- May be required to function as Charge Nurse, including patient assignment, coordinating staff coverage, and supporting problem-solving
- Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and documentation via EMR or paper processes
- Required to complete 4 hours of orientation training and 4 hours of annual training for the Total Joint Program
- Follows total joint replacement care pathways based on area of specialty
- Works closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes
