Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Oncology RN for a Cancer Center role requiring active MT or compact RN licensure and at least 2 years of experience.
Details
- Outpatient Cancer Center setting within a hospital environment
- Full-time 0.9 FTE day shift position
- Schedule consists of four 9-hour shifts per week with one rotating weekday off based on clinic needs
- May require working beyond standard hours, including occasional weekends, after-hours, or on-call coverage
Requirements
- Active MT or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Oncology Certified Nurse credential preferred
- Outpatient clinic experience preferred
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, and implementation of care for oncology patients
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan and deliver patient and family education
- Promote a safe environment while employing evidence-based nursing practices
- Candidates must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be considered
- Facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances
