Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring BSN and active IL RN licensure.
Details
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting with telemetry patient population
- Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30
- Weekend requirement
- 30-minute meal break
- Floating required to 9 BT units plus overflow areas, and potentially other facilities within the health system upon manager request
- No on-call requirement
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in hand required; emergency or pending licenses not accepted
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- BLS certification through AHA required
- ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
- Minimum 1 year of direct RN experience required
- 2 years of RN experience preferred
- Skills checklist and two references required for consideration, with one reference from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge RN within the last year
- All requested time off must be submitted with application and cannot be added afterward
Additional Information
- Provide telemetry-level nursing care within a Progressive Care Unit
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- Non-licensed direct patient caregivers not listed as 'Eligible' in the IL Healthcare Worker Registry must travel to Illinois at least two Fridays before their start date for mandatory fingerprinting
- Orientation includes completion of specialty-specific modules
