Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring CA RN licensure and recent drip titration and rhythm interpretation skills.

Details

• Acute care Telemetry unit within a community hospital setting
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Epic charting system experience required
• Cardiac monitoring with telemetry and rhythm interpretation on the unit

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Tele experience required
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required, BSN preferred
• Recent clinical experience interpreting telemetry rhythms, including recognition of common arrhythmias (A-fib, A-flutter, SVT, VT, PVCs, PACs)
• Recent clinical experience initiating, titrating, monitoring, and documenting drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Lasix, Insulin, and Heparin
• Community hospital experience required; teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/PICC line care, blood product administration, respiratory and airway management, and cardiac drip titration

• Deliver holistic, individualized nursing care including assessment, coordination, and evaluation of patient care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, patients, and families to ensure effective communication and continuity of care
• Adhere to hospital policies, best practices, and regulatory standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius for local rate eligibility
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only one designated holiday approved for time off
• Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
