Description
American Traveler is hiring a General Rad Technologist with ARRT certification and recent C-arm OR experience for a hospital-based diagnostic imaging position.
Details
- Work in the Diagnostic Imaging department performing X-ray examinations including routine, fluoroscopy, operating room, and portable procedures
- PM shift from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
- 3x12 hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week, Friday through Sunday
- Call required
- Uses Shimadzu portable and Rad Speed Pro C-arm equipment
- EPIC EMR system used
Requirements
- Current ARRT certification
- Washington State certification as a registered radiologic technologist in X-Ray required if applicable
- Current BLS certification
- Shimadzu portable equipment experience required
- Recent C-arm OR experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Operate x-ray room, portable, and operating room x-ray equipment effectively
- Review and evaluate diagnostic images for technical quality
- Assist radiologists in fluoroscopic procedures and may perform minor fluoroscopic procedures under their direction per current certification
- Provide direct training and supervision to student technologists alongside clinical instructors
- Utilize PACS, RIS, and EMR systems to complete required documentation for each examination
- Comply with continuing education requirements as dictated by regulatory entities
- Perform safe patient lifting and transfers using proper ergonomic technique and safe patient handling devices
- Communicate with patients' family members or caregivers as needed
- Apply knowledge of ALARA, Image Gently, and Image Wisely principles
