Description
American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist with at least 2 years of acute care experience and ARDMS certification.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within the Radiology/Cardiology department
- Performs general diagnostic ultrasound examinations on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Includes surgical, portable, emergency, trauma, and outpatient ultrasound exams
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- Works every other weekend
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- ARDMS and BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care facility required
Additional Information
- Prepares patients and operates ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic scans
- Reviews and evaluates completed exams for quality and completeness
- Assists physicians during examinations and adapts to individual physician routines
- Oversees and trains other personnel as needed
- Maintains department equipment and participates in QA/QC programs for regulatory compliance
- Maintains accurate department records and participates in clerical duties as needed
- Assists with patient transport as necessary
- Participates in ongoing professional development through educational programs and in-service training
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Accepts local candidates within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
- Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
