Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a day-shift travel assignment requiring ARRT certification and at least one year of experience.
Details
- Radiology Diagnostic department performing radiographic procedures as ordered by physicians and radiologists
- 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Weekend requirement
- On-call requirement
- Floating requirement to other locations
Requirements
- ARRT certification required
- New Mexico state license required if applicable
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
- High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program required
- Minimum of one year of experience required, clinical education experience may substitute
- Thorough knowledge of radiographic imaging equipment, anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning, medical terminology, and basic computer skills
Additional Information
- Prepares and orients patients for radiographic procedures and provides patient care within the department
- Provides radiation protection for patients, staff, and self
- Operates and maintains imaging equipment and computer systems according to department and manufacturer guidelines
- Checks PACS for prior studies and requests merges as needed
- Maintains accurate written and computerized documentation per department and hospital policy
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas and stocks supplies as needed
- Checks and double-checks contrast media before administration and charts contrast usage appropriately
- Follows AIDET guidelines to provide courteous, patient-centered care
- Participates in continuing education to maintain current knowledge of radiologic technology
- Returning CHRISTUS employees must be separated for at least 6 months before being eligible for a travel assignment
