Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring KY or compact RN license and multiple ACLS/PALS/TNCC certifications.

Details

• Emergency Department/Urgent Care setting with 64 patient care areas seeing 250+ patients daily
• RN to patient ratio of 4:1 with support from ED Techs
• Evening shift, 12p-12a, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• Every other weekend with a set schedule, off every Wednesday
• FTE of 0.9

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with care team members
• Last 4 digits of SSN and MM/DD of date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination across the nursing process
• Facilitate patient admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures such as patient satisfaction, falls, and documentation audits
• Candidates must reside within a 75-mile radius; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
