Description
American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry Float RN for a night shift position requiring CA licensure, BSN, and a minimum of 2.5 years of recent TCU/Stepdown/PCU/Telemetry experience.
Details
- Float pool position, not unit-based, requiring ability to float to other UCSF facilities and units
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 7:30
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- May be assigned to care for boarded patients in the ED or PACU
- Epic charting system preferred
- Floating may include reassignment to a different department, unit, or facility within a 75+ mile radius
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- BSN required
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Minimum of 2.5 years of recent, consistent TCU/Stepdown/PCU and Telemetry RN experience as home unit (float experience does not qualify)
- Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Must have completed a travel assignment within the past 12 months
- Experience caring for acute care patients recovered from procedures (e.g., biopsies) preferred
- Two professional references from most recent employer required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide telemetry nursing care within a float pool model across multiple units and facilities
- No first-time travelers considered for this role
- Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed with full work history details for rehire eligibility review
- All RTO must be disclosed and approved by the manager at time of offer; no additional requests accepted mid-contract and no RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Travel pairs allowed but generally not placed on the same unit; married couples may not work on the same unit
