Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor and Delivery RN with EPIC experience for a 13-week assignment requiring CA licensure and AWHONN Advanced certification.
Details
- Labor and Delivery unit with 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR rooms, plus NICU and Post-Partum support
- Unit supported by 24/7 OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage
- Cares for low and high risk L&D patients across neonatal, adolescent, and adult populations
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Requires 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)
- Mandatory on-call required twice per month in addition to scheduled shifts
- May be placed on call in lieu of a scheduled shift if not needed
- Float to Perinatal required as needed
- Uses SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts charting systems
Requirements
- Active California RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced certifications required
- EPIC experience required
- Allscripts charting experience preferred
- Skilled in external fetal monitoring and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Experience circulating for C-sections required
- References required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide labor and delivery nursing care including fetal monitoring and C-section circulation support
- Must work most holidays with limited holiday RTO consideration
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
- Maximum of 3 days RTO allowed for the full 13-week contract
- All RTO requests must be submitted upfront and cannot be modified, only canceled
- Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
- First-time travelers welcome to apply
- Return staff considered on a case-by-case basis
- Facility is smoke and nicotine-free; candidates must arrive free of tobacco odor
- Advanced EKG exam required prior to start with a minimum 80% passing score
