Description
American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown/PCU RN for a night shift position requiring cardiac drip titration experience and a WA or compact RN license.
Details
- Step down/PCU unit in a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma teaching hospital
- Patient ratios of 1:4-5
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- May float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical floors, with travelers prioritized for floating if overstaffed
- 48-hour work weeks approved
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active WA state or compact RN license required, must be in hand at submission
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Required skills include cardiac drip titration and management
- Experience with respiratory care, IV therapy, central/peripheral/PICC line management, and blood product administration
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry monitoring
- Epic charting experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care to cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and renal patient populations in a stepdown/PCU setting
- Participate in rapid response and code team activations as needed
- May float between sister facilities within the state as needed
- Scrub color is open for RNs
- No parking fees at this facility
- Candidates must select one holiday to work, either Thanksgiving or Christmas
- Must disclose any prior employment history with Providence facilities, including dates and location, if applicable
- Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius for local rate eligibility
- RTO requests should be submitted upfront and minimized to avoid delays in offer processing
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
