Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring total joints and Rapid Response team experience on a high-acuity mixed unit.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of an acute care hospital with 210 staffed beds
• Mixed, high-acuity unit requiring total joints and Rapid Response team experience
• 1:6 patient ratio experience required
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope
• Block scheduling not permitted
• Uses Meditech charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (FL or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• 1:6 patient ratio experience required
• Total joints experience required
• Rapid Response team experience required

Additional Information

• No RTO permitted during this assignment and must be willing to work holidays based on unit needs
• If 1-2 holidays fall within the assignment, required to work 1 evening shift and 1 holiday
• If 3 holidays fall within the assignment, required to work 1 evening shift and 2 holidays
• Mandatory clinical orientation week requiring 5 shifts (36-40 hours) in the first week
• Scrub color is unrestricted
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Must reside more than 30 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
