Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment requiring trauma, neuro, vascular, and ortho experience.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room of an acute care hospital with 277 staffed beds
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00-19:00, with variable start times of 7:00 or 9:00
- May need to cover one night shift during the contract as needed
- Weekend shifts required
- On-call required, distributed equally among nursing staff every 6 weeks, up to 6-8 shifts in a 6 week period including nights, evenings, and weekends
- Floating required between like units and facilities within the state
- Uses Epic EMR
- OR, Endo, L&D, and PACU scrubs provided
- Free parking available
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Trauma, neuro, vascular, and ortho experience required due to trauma center status
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active, unencumbered professional license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty/setting
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care in a Level II trauma center setting
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted
- RTO must be submitted for consideration, with minimal to no time off accommodated
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities, including as a permanent employee, travel contractor, or registry/per-diem staff
