Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced M/S Tele RN for a night shift position requiring telemetry strip reading proficiency and MA licensure.

Details

• Works in a Surgical Stepdown/Med-Surg unit with a 15-bed unit and an 8-bed Surgical Stepdown unit (23 total beds)
• Cares for post-surgical patients from General, GYN, Vascular, Thoracic, Urology, Oral, Plastics, and Trauma surgeries
• Patient ratios are 3-5 patients per RN on Med-Surg and 2-3 patients per RN on Stepdown, with 6-10 patients per PCA
• Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every other weekend required
• Floating required
• Uses EPIC EMR charting system
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in one location plus 2 years of travel experience
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• Experience managing chest tubes, NGT, epidurals, and capnography required
• Experience with arterial lines and neo-synephrine management preferred
• EPIC charting experience required

• Provide telemetry monitoring and post-surgical nursing care to a med-surg/stepdown patient population

• Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility and will receive a reduced rate
• Candidates must disclose requested time off (RTO) at time of consideration
