Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Renal/Gastro unit requiring a NJ or compact license and 1 year of experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Renal/Gastro unit
• AM shift, 7a-7p, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours weekly
• Must be open to float, including to a nearby sister hospital
• No on-call requirements
• Uses EPIC for charting

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred

Additional Information

• Perform thorough patient assessments across all age groups from pediatric to geriatric
• Deliver competent clinical care and support emergency procedures as needed
• Maintain complete, accurate documentation including patient education and progress notes
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and use of two patient identifiers
• Provide individualized pre-operative and post-operative care and education for surgical patients
• Support Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) processes, including evaluating orders for appropriateness
• Collaborate with the care team to prioritize patient needs and ensure continuity of care
• Local candidates accepted at a different rate
