Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a 13-week critical care assignment requiring a compact or OK RN license and at least 2 years of experience.

Details

Work in an 8-bed Critical Care-ICU unit serving adult medical, pulmonary, and cardiac intensive care patients
Nurse to patient ratio of 1:2
Unit supported by PCTs on dayshift and a monitor tech for 24/7 monitoring
13-week assignment with day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15

Requirements

Active RN license (Compact or OK state license) currently in hand
Current certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS
NIH Stroke Scale certification required
Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience required
Current license and primary source verification via Nursys required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans in accordance with established policies and protocols
Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
Carry out physician and nursing orders and assess discharge planning needs
Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a high-stress critical care environment
Follow standard precautions using appropriate personal protective equipment
Local candidates accepted, though radius rules may apply to pay rate eligibility
