Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Trauma Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2+ years of PCU experience and a 4:1 patient ratio.

Details

• Trauma Progressive Care Unit within a 40-bed unit
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Uses Epic EMR
• Floating required, with travelers prioritized to float first, including to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• Nursing degree accreditation must be documented, or candidate must have 5 years of experience
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing

Additional Information

• Deliver progressive care nursing services to trauma patients in a fast-paced unit
• Travelers are expected to integrate fully and function as core staff
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel positioning, with strict verification of residency
• No block scheduling requests accommodated
• All RTO must be submitted upfront, as it will not be approved after submission
• Orientation begins on a Friday, including remote orientation and an in-person visit for badge/ID
• Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions for pending documentation
