Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced MRI Technologist to serve as a trainer and mentor to less experienced MRI staff, requiring 3+ years of registered MRI experience.

Details

• MRI Tech unit supporting Radiology/Cardiology services
• Work settings include Adult ICU, Adult Outpatient, ER/Trauma, and Pediatric Outpatient
• Performs imaging of abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine, chest, and musculoskeletal regions, including MRCP, MRA, and MRV studies
• Uses Siemens equipment (required) and GE PACS (preferred)
• Epic EMR experience required
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Tuesday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No call and no weekends required
• Facility is open to working with the clinician on holiday coverage

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in MRI (Registered)
• Experience training and supporting less experienced MRI staff required
• ARRT (MR, R) and BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Epic experience within the last 18 months required and must be clearly documented on candidate profile
• Must pass Epic competency exam on site; only one attempt allowed
• Proficiency in preparation and/or administration of contrast media
• Experience starting peripheral IVs required
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety required

Additional Information

• Role involves training and mentoring less experienced MRI technologists
• Candidates requiring respirator fit testing must be clean-shaven
• Travelers are expected to float unless otherwise stated
• Local candidates and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate
• No block scheduling or special schedule requests will be accommodated
