Description

American Traveler is hiring a dual-certified Mammography Technologist to perform mammography and breast ultrasound exams, requiring 1-2 years of experience and ARRT(M) certification.

Details

• Mammography department within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Performs routine screening and diagnostic mammograms including 3D tomosynthesis
• Conducts targeted breast and axillary ultrasound scans
• Assists with invasive procedures including core needle biopsies, cyst aspirations, and pre-surgical wire localizations
• Manages PACS records and equipment quality control

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and an AMA-approved Ultrasound school
• ARRT registration in Radiography and Mammography [ARRT(M)]
• ARDMS certification, often requiring a Breast (BR) specialty credential
• BLS certification required
• State licensure required if applicable (SCRQSA in South Carolina)
• Current copies of certifications required for consideration
• References required for consideration

Additional Information

• Correlates ultrasound and mammographic images to differentiate normal tissue from cysts, tumors, or suspicious masses
• Prepares exam rooms, explains procedures to patients, and maintains strict privacy and safety guidelines
• Handles scheduling and administrative duties related to imaging records
• No floating to affiliate hospitals required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
