Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week assignment at a small critical access hospital requiring an active HI RN license and at least 2 years of ED experience.

Details

Small critical access hospital with no separate units, requiring RNs to cover ER, Acute, and LTC areas
If assigned to ER with no patients, RN will provide backup support in Acute and LTC areas
If assigned to meds, RN will pass meds and perform procedures for LTC and Acute patients
Schedule consists of six 12-hour shifts totaling 72 hours in a two-week period
Every 3rd weekend off
Not a latex-free facility

Requirements

Active HI RN license required by start of assignment; candidates without one may apply upon offer acceptance
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department required

Additional Information

RN responsibilities span ER, Acute, and LTC patient care depending on assignment
Recommended arrival in Hilo the Thursday before start, staying overnight to attend HR/Employee Health clearance appointment the next morning
After clearance, travel to Ka'u Hospital that same day to complete initial paperwork and orientation
Hours are not guaranteed
