Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night-shift position requiring neuro and telemetry experience along with current NIHSS certification.

Details

Night shift, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) in the Telemetry unit
Patient ratios of 1:4-5
Neurology and cardiac patient population including CVA, craniotomy, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury cases
Requires skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube management, and procedural sedation monitoring
Epic EMR experience required
Floating between units and sister facilities required
Weekend requirement of every other weekend
No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at submission
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
At least 6 months of neuro experience required
Epic charting system experience required
2 professional references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Must not have facility background check or Nursys hits

Additional Information

Works in a Short Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, teaching hospital setting
Scrub color is any for RNs
No parking fee at facility
Thanksgiving and New Year's are typically covered but additional support is needed for Christmas coverage
Candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront, as post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
