Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ER experience and recent Epic charting experience.

Details

• Work in a General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
• Level II Trauma Center, STEMI Certified, and Stroke Certified facility
• Patient ratio of 1:2-4
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 17:00 to 05:00
• Minimum of two weekend shifts per month if needed
• No call requirement, though overtime may be available
• Uses Epic charting system
• Floating required unless otherwise specified

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
• TNCC and PHTLS certifications preferred but not required
• Minimum of 2 years of ER experience required
• Epic charting experience within the last 18 months required
• Must pass onsite Epic competency exam
• Ultrasound IV experience preferred but not required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with trauma, cardiac monitoring, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric patient care preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of acute emergency conditions

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a wide range of acute conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases
• Perform triage, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols as needed
• Manage dysrhythmias, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and respond to cardiac emergencies
• Apply splints and provide orthopedic trauma care as needed
• Must plan to work one of the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day
• Candidates must be clean-shaven if fit testing is required
